Ive been thinking about the perfect Holiday display. Its too big for a front yard, but maybe some city will like the idea. Of course, it starts with a baby in a manger with a star overhead, then a menorah and some dreidels. Then add a statute of Saturn and an oak tree with clumps of mistletoe and some African masks. Balance these with a Saint Nicklaus (or a group of them showing historic and ethnic variations) and a secular Santa Claus (the Coca Cola ad one we now all use) complete with elves and reindeer. But the centerpiece would be a very tired woman. Her hair is frazzled and her clothes in disarray as she copes with more logo-ed shopping bags than she could possibly carry.
