Ive been told a lot lately that Ive grown distant, that I dont seem as involved in my social life as I used to be. To those who think so, this message is for you: Everyone grows in their life differently; some people find religion, some have families, some find a cause to fight for. And all of those things are wonderful- for others. Myself, Im still finding who I am, and what Im passionate about. But Ive gotten to know myself enough to be certain that Im a border-line-stupidly independent person. I still love my friends and family (hi, mom!), and Ill ALWAYS be there for them, even if they think I no longer care; but for this part of my lifes journey, Im enjoying solitude. I can keep going though, confident in the fact that those who truly matter to me will be there at the finish line (and the midway mark, and when theres a spider that needs killing and when I need someone to drink my feelings with). If youve taken the time to read this novel, well then, youre probably one of those people, and I just want to say how much I appreciate you :) Show love, spread love people. Its a good motto to live by.
