Ive been trying to explain how Islamic fundamentalism has taken over Muslim countries and is challenging non-Muslim countries and cultural modernism in many parts of the world. This is not a condemnation against Islam (but there will always be someone who thinks it is); I condemn religious radicalism of every persuation -- BUT Islamic extremism, jihadism, is an enemy of all sane people, Muslim, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, secular humanist, atheist alike. These radicals live in a world of their violent reality and when they gain control of a country they implement the most extreme versions of Islamic law. Look at what ISIS is doing in Syria and look at other countries where they have control. They are not doing this because they have real or perceived grievances against Israel. They are doing it because it is their bastardized version of Islam. You can take every single jihadist leader from any country in the world -- and this includes Hamas in Palestine -- and find the same threads woven through their deadly rhetoric and ideology. You all know the story about the pregnant woman held in prison under a death sentence (and with her was her 2 yr old son) because she was convicted of the crime of apostasy. Well, folks, whether it is Sudan or the Taliban in Pakistan or Hamas in Palestine this is the face of radical, aggressive, warring Islamic rule. If Israel put down its arms and suddenly decided to live like the Amish and never put up any defense and Hamas swept into Israel you would soon see radical oppression of not only the Jews and Christians but also all the other Muslims who want to live in the 21st century.
