Ive been trying to get my thoughts together to update all of you amazing people that are lifting us up in prayer and positive energy. We appreciate you all so much. Joseph Michael Hellmann came on his own, full term and we had a fairly quick natural labor. After pushing began he changed positions and his shoulders were having a hard time getting free. He weighed 9lbs 9oz and is 22 inches long. Because of the trauma during that stage he had fluid in his lungs and was shocky and unresponsive. He received CPR immediately. Now the NICU is just doing an amazing job taking each thing as it comes and keeping him as stable as they can. We dont know a whole lot about how long all of these things will last and if other problems will arise. We are just taking it minute by minute and looking forward to being able to hold our son for the first time. I will do my very best to keep everyone in the loop and am forever grateful for the outpouring of love for our new sweet SON!
