Ive been writing in my notebook for awhile now and have been gathering the random notebooks Ive written in over the years. My goal is to eventually publish a book called Things I Learned the Hard Way So You Dont Have To. This isnt a joke Im serious. I have a lot of good material already :-) One thing I want to say now though - as a sneak preview to the book LOL - is this...The good friends you grow up with...the ones who perpetually stay in contact with you and truly KNOW you...nurture those relationships. Pick up the phone when they call, regardless of how busy you are at the moment or if you have time. Reciprocate the communication. I didnt do this for a long time. I took these friendships for granted. I didnt realize I was being selfish regarding how Id only allot communication on my time. And because of this Ive lost contact with some very very close friends. This post is not a plea regarding those friends...its a reminder to never take for granted the relationships that matter. Reciprocate. That is all.
