Ive decided that next time I get dress coded at school Im going to stand up for myself. Whenever I get dress coded they make me feel ashamed of my body, embarrassed that people are looking at me. Ive practically been called a slut by the workers at my school, Ive been told my outfit is completely unexceptible. The other day I got sent home for my skirt not hanging above my knee(it was mid thigh) theres a day of my education taken away from me because I am thought of as a distracting object. The next day I was in the office wearing leggings and a sweater, actually got a comment from a worker saying glad to see youre wearing cloths today wow thats really professional. I am a girl, I wear skirts and dresses and my bra strap is going to show , Im sorry my legs show and god forbid my shoulders to. Im so done with being told Im a distraction that my education isnt as important just because I decided to wear cloths that all girls wear. If my daddy says its okay to wear, its okay to wear. Next time I get dress coded Im going to make a stand because I am tired of being just a distracting object with no importance to the educational system.
