Ive had one of those weeks.. You know what Im talking about, school is overwhelming, keeping up with kids, meetings, ect. Tonight I was driving to Indiana to visit my family to celebrate my brothers birthday. I realized six years ago tonight, on a Friday, at exactly the same time I was taking this same exact drive. For a entirely different reason. I took that drive six years ago never intending to make it back home or wake up to see another day. I was tired, sixteen years of active drug addiction had caught up with me. I begged God, as I had every night for years to please, please let me die and I took every narcotic pill in my possession and laid back. I woke up in ICU the next day. I began a new way of life that day, October 4, 2008, it hasnt always been easy, but it has always been worth it. Gratitude. Thank God and thank you, all of you, who loved me and never gave up on me, even when I had given up on myself. ❤️
