Ive just experienced one of the most emotional and meaningful things eve. I just finished watching this video of STEVE PERRY. I remember hearing about him randomly popping up to sing a few songs at some small gig and thought, awe, that would have been cool to see at the time. Thinking about phrases like hes rusty or getting the cobwebs out would be bandied about when we all know those are euphemisms for saying someone once great shows inklings of their former selves. I didnt really expect to find this video online and so I never looked for it months ago. Now that Ive seen it, its hit me like a ton of bricks. To me, imagining that Id ever see Steve Perry perform again with the magic that he formerly had is like discovering Sasquatch, UFOs, and Atlantis all at once. It would never happen. Only it has. Yes, he is out of practice, but no, he didnt transpose down in key. Yes he did go for the big notes and he got them. This was nothing like Michael Jordans or George Foremans come backs, this was the real deal!
