Ive just learned from a mutual friend that Taylor Negron died today. Im stunned and saddened. He was not just a terrific actor and writer, he was a sharp, witty, kind and compassionate human being. Im looking at his last message to me. He asked when my next play would be opening, and promised Ill be there with bells on. I told him he could come onstage for a cameo appearance, if he was up for it....When my next play opens in New York, in the Spring, I will set aside a seat in his memory.... He appeared in such films as Stuart Little; The Last Boy Scout, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Angels in the Outfield, The Aristocrats, and Easy Money, among others. He made guest appearances on many TV shows, including: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Friends, Seinfeld, ER, Wizards of Waverly Place, Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He had recurring roles in So Little Time and Smart Guy. He was a prolific writer. He did standup comedy, as well. I liked the way he made use of all of his talents. Im sorry he lost his battle with cancer. He was just 57. And the world will be a less interesting place without him.
