Ive made a light box! Its not perfected yet by any means, but I was just so excited to put him in front of it that I couldnt wait. Its only been about 15 min since this video and hes already playing more. Its just Christmas lights in a plastic storage box, the kind that is shallow for under the bed. Im planning on blacking out the back and sides and attaching the lights to a piece of cardboard so they are more evenly spaced. And of course making more things to hang or tape on for him to touch. The point is for his to see the objects better when they are in contrast with the bright light. The more his brain sees things and learns how to see, the more he will want to use his vision. Nothing in his eyes is damaged but his brain is damaged in a place that controls vision. The diagnosis is calked Cortical Vision Impairment (you can google it if you have questions). They use light boxes in therapy but the real kind are super expensive and heavy. No need for that. And after this one is done being a light box, we can use it for storage. :) Hawk had one seizure yesterday and none today so far! We went to church this morning for the first time in a while and Hawk got to go into the nursery with our sweet prayer warrior, Aimee. After church we had some lunch by mouth and a good nap in the recliner. Now we are just playing :) Katie
