Ive mentioned about the HO layout my Granddad built me in the 70s and found this old polaroid that I tried to clean up as best I could. Grandpa ordered 3 tyco sets from the Bennett Catalog in the fall of 72 and then put a 4x8 piece of particle board over the dining room table. We filled it with as many trains & buildings as possible (Grandpa being pretty much the sole investor/stockholder at that time!) It was mostly Tyco trains and Tyco/Atlas buildings. I know Tyco is kind of looked down on but we ran those trains for hours practically every week end for years! We even had a watermill with a pump that really worked. I pretty much run O scale now but have great memories of my Grandparents and this layout!
