Ive never coached a team like the one we have this year. Not that were loaded with college prospects but that we have a group of kids that will give it everything they have no matter what the circumstance... We played Fulton (#16 in the Country/ #1 in the state) last night and with all the 70 point blow out predictions and the fact that its been like 224-0 over the last three years our kids stood toe to toe, eye to eye with a team that most wish they could just forfeit. We scored first 6-0. First points they had given up in the 1st qtr all season. Led at the half 9-6. They averaged 48 points in the 1st half this year. First time they had trailed all season. The boys played lights out and finally gave in late in the 4th. We lost 18-12 but man I know we earned some respect and built some confidence for the playoffs...Whos next?? #Greeneville Havent been back their since 2005. Back to my ol stompin grounds.
