Ive never done a Hots & Nots for Empire before, but felt the need to this time: Hots - Seeing all my wonderful LARP friends and making some new ones - Honey Vodka!! - thanks Shaman Halfmad :) - Our Anniversary party - thanks to all who could make it. Same again next year methinks :) - The Varushkan camp looked amazing. I heard people coming into camp saying This looks like Varushka rather than Where are we? as they had in the past. Goal acheived. Well done and massive thanks to Peter Cartwright for sorting the wonderful layout again, and to all on the town planning committee for making it look bright and colourful. - Having new members in our unit, and possibly more to come. Not sure how we got so big! - Having the White Flame camped next to us OC leading to nice coffee mornings while faffing with makeup - The crafting circle - this is always my favourite bit of any event, sitting around in the shade chatting and making things is always wonderful - All the fantastic events going on in Varushka. I know I said it on site as well but thank you so much Heather M Clayton for all your hard work. I dont know how you managed to organise so many wonderful activities but its safe to say that they were enjoyed by all. - being able to get some decent sleep at night as it wasnt cold - PD being generally awesome as always. Our rental tent saved our lives, without the shade and the breeze from leaving 2 sides off, we wouldnt have made it past the Thursday - The music around camp! Nots - the heat - all bad comes from the heat. makeup was a trial, tempers were frayed, heat-stroke was rife and my brain was mush for the duration.
