Ive never recommended a movie, but this is 10/10 in many ways if you can overlook the obvious flaws and shitty ending. The multi-layered emotions, true respect vs rank, camaraderie, sacrifice, love, intelligence, analytical propensity and may I add - Love for our enemies for : When I understand my enemies well enough to defeat him, then in that moment, I also love him. Ive never felt more compelling desire to salute a young punk of an officer than this 10 year old did. Fiction yes, but well worth watching. To all my soldier friends and those I have had the pleasure to serve with.
