Ive noticed over the last several years that even when the team dynamic shifting and being what it is today, the outfits have even changed to reflect the incohesive idea that the X-Men are no longer unified. Its probably nitpicky to discuss, but because I do it anyway, Ill say it -- I miss the costumes where it was clear that they were a member of the team by having at least one big ole X somewhere on the costume and not this blended concept Im seeing in recent years. I know the outfits are with the times, but still -- give me consistency. Give me unity again. Grant it, back in the day, or the 90s rather, maybe a few didnt sport the X like Jubilee, Gambit or Psylocke and that was okay, but others adorned them pretty visibly. The X was a symbol not just an insignia. It was their badge. It was their banner. Now its hidden or not even there at all. Yeah, Scotts entire visor is a huge X now and Emma has them on her shoulders and Storms outfit kinda has it shaped around her chest, but not even the kids are wearing them anymore, not even in training. Give me the the X belt buckles back! The X shoulder pads! The X knee pads! Something! Anything than what it is today. Sigh. Rant over. :D
