Ive read a lot of post on the hatred of colonial rule... people whining like puppies about the past they have never seen or felt. The very fact that they are alive and exist today, show discrepancy to their shouts. Their ancestors survived and were healthy enough to promote future of their legacy. An individual keeps whining about Hindu Holocaust. Yet, many many hindus lived very good and healthy lives throughout the Portuguese colonial rule. Some even traded with the Portuguese. Deshprabhu of Pernem never converted to Christianity and yet was given the title of Visconte of Pernem. Mhamai Kamats of Panaji traded heavily with the Portuguese on arms ammunition and slaves (african) Violence always existed even before the Portuguese and British came to India. Then it was the maratha (hindus) against the Mughal Empire (Muslims that controlled most of the Indian subcontinent) and Tipu Sultan. Frankly, Ive read more about Muslim rulers in India such as Mughals, Nizam, Nawabs etc to wonder how India is being labelled as Hindu Nation. Also, The Portuguese controlled a vast part of South America, The British a large part of North America. The natives of this American continent (the red Indians, Incas ets) are mostly annihilated and most of their culture forgotten. And yet a vast part of the Indian culture is still alive in Goa and India. The colonialist did not convert and annihilate completely as they did in America. They allowed the Hindus, Muslims and the Indian Culture to remain alive even during their colonial rule. I fail to understand Holocaust. Some maniacs tend to use big words as fancy just to add substance to their otherwise poor opinion.
