Ive read arguments on both sides and I still dont get where the anger is coming from when it comes to all of iTunes players getting a free download of the U2 album. When you buy an Apple product...you get all that comes with it...and you get your choice of keeping or deleting most of the apps and content that is provided. You dont want the U2 album....delete it from your iTunes. Apple got a ton of publicity out of it....U2 made 100 million bucks. That was a shrewd marriage (again) of business partners and did something new to generate sales of Apple products. If Apple can afford to pay 100 million to U2...they are making much more than that! No one is really hurt by it. When I got my iPhone I got the iTunesU app on my phone. I never use it or care to...and I just dont use it. I didnt order it. I dont freak out about it. We buy an Apple product...you can expect them to do what it takes to keep us spending money. A new iOS every year. A new model of phone with a faster processor and a better camera. iOS 8 is new....it will be obsolete next year. Why? Because Apple is trying to make money. We have choices here. Get another phone...or delete what you dont want on your Apple phone.
