Ive received over 250 new followers this week! So let me give all my new friends a quick rundown of who I am and why youre here following my crazy life... Im Scott, hi!, born and raised in metro Detroit (USA). Ever since my study abroad trip in Sydney, Australia 5 years ago (wow!) my life has been consumed by travel. I began leading adventure travel trips for teens. Last year I worked as logistics director for that same company, my dream job! I was planning and scouting adventures trips around the world for a living. However, the reality of it was 50-60 hours behind a computer, planning dream trips for others... So this fall I quit and bought a one-way ticket to Portugal. I landed in Lisbon without a plan, not even a reservation, just dreams and desires. 3 days later I bought a car ($560) with a friend and hit the road! Since then Ive traveled over 7,500 mi. (12,000 km) from northern Spain to southern Morocco and along the Mediterranean coast to Croatia... I typically roll into hostels asking anyone if they want to join. Many have, some for hours, some for months. Im slowly making my way to Turkey. The idea is to see how far into the Middle East I can go or possibly down into Africa. I dont like making plans :P I created this page a few years ago to show people how easy, cheap and fun traveling can be. I make no money here. I afford this lifestyle by living very cheap and simple. When Im not traveling I work very hard and save as much as possible. I invite you to message me with whatever questions you have... I want to be your travel information resource! I sometimes get overwhelmed with technology while traveling, but when I hear that Ive helped someone achieve their travel dreams, it makes it all worth it.... Thats the goal here...
