Ive sat and chewed at it all day, and still cant come to terms with that result. Leaving the referee out of it, who at best can be said to have had an absolute stinker, I still feel robbed. The woodwork 3 or 4 times frustrated us, we were pulled or hacked down at others. But to lose it so late on, Im left feeling bereft. As dirty as Westmoor were, they did challenge Jack much more often that Fur & Feather did last week and thankfully our keeper rose, dived and lept to those challenges. In fairness a couple of their goals were the result of some very good, well worked football. We, more often than not played some good football ourselves though, but just couldnt get the rub of the green, as every loose ball seemed to bounce Westmoors way. Theres a bitter taste in my mouth I cant seem to swallow, but I take away this - were talking on the pitch, were playing lovely simple football, were making chances, and were forcing mistakes. We look and sound like a proper team, and weve already scored more goals than we did all last season. Its coming lads, and they look like theyre beginning to believe it.
