Ive shared with some of you of my misdiagnosis of shingles. Went to the doctor mid-October but three week later I went back because something just didnt seem to be right. After seeing my primary care doctor, a dermatologists, who did two biopsies on my leg and hip, a hemotologist, rhuematologists, and a nephrologists I was diagnosed with Calciphylaxis. Its scary but I have faith that God heals. Its a rare disease where the calcium goes to your blood vessels and clots them instead of going to your bones. The unusual problem with me and what makes it even rarer is that people on dialysis are the ones who would be diagnosed with Calciphylaxis. I have no kidney problems and never even had a kidney infection! I had my pick line put in last week and started infusion treatments that day. I will go every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until there is some type of healing. Ive read that one lady did her treatments for one year!! My leg and hip is pretty gross looking but praying for healing even if its not quick! The pain has been the worst of my life physically. Prays are that no one would have to do this!
