Ive tried the congas and Ive rossined up a bow with a fiddle - TopicsExpress

Ive tried the congas and Ive rossined up a bow with a fiddle waiting. And flunked. I have not yet figured them both out. Out loud. Deep down I can play them both keeping time and harmony in my mind. Ask me to bow up or actually drum out I get lost. Or explain 4/4 and you will get a blank stare. Ill be damned. That entire eye hand coordination. In my own mind wanting to halfway keep up in a half of two seconds. While everyone me around stops playing to tell me Im not keeping up. Go sit down, try to listen and learn. I wonder how Jimmy felt the first time he was simply told to chill out for a few? Didnt have room for a left handed upside guitar playing fool. Ill never master and even much less understand music theory. My fiddle. A E D and G? An out of tune Conga makes me grimice. But my Blues will always lay the foundation for the music that my soul sings. Regardless of instrumentation. May I be blessed as so many men before me. No voice and no drums. Just simply the words of their thoughts. Passed on an made to think about. With a bit of confusion around. Slow draw the A open fret and fast play the G open. Have it countered with a conga double tap. And repeat. I know it makes no sense to anyone but damn. I could have a good ol time with a double tap answered by a rossined bow. With simple musical challenge to keep up. Can you follow me and I bet you cant follow me. A raw stupid off the grid jam. Laughing in the end and disappointed no one recorded it. But the best damn sound ever. Lost to the ages. How did music become so complicated? Going back to my roots. JJ Grey & Mofro - The Wrong Side: youtu.be/YNEel-agKeg
