Ive turned the first corner in my healing, I think. After another - TopicsExpress

Ive turned the first corner in my healing, I think. After another rough night I woke up feeling a little better. The pain in my back has changed and now feels more like a healing pain than a hurtful one. I still have numbness in my right leg and feel dizzy most of the time. I have constant nerve spasms that feel like a creepy set of fingers on my back. I have cramps in my hips and calves, probably from not walking as much. My appetite is slowly returning but still no cravings for McDs. Glen has been a wonderful support for me and hasnt complained about anything...the kids on the other hand...guess they thought this would be another easy recovery like gall bladder surgery. Three more days until the staples come out. Sitting in a recliner today trying to wean off the Percocet. Sometimes the meds are worse than the pain. Going to downsize to Lortab if I need anything for pain and cut back on the muscle relaxers. They should be called Roofies. You can hear and understand, but cant move, respond, or open your eyes. Not a nice feeling.
