Izzy Special Steak & Red Wine Jus As much as I absolutely love cooking, sometimes it is so nice to sit down and be cooked for. Izzy cooked me a delish meal so I thought I would share it! Ingredients Meat 1x Canterbury Angus Ribeye Roast (aka cube roll) from Westmeat Butcher (sliced into 4 steaks) Olive oil Salt & pepper Mash 4 large potatoes 1/4 cup milk 25g butter chopped Handful of chopped parsley Salt and pepper Red wine jus 2 cups Red wine 2 tbsp Brown sugar A squirt of Soy sauce 2 crushed Garlic gloves Salt and pepper Broccoli Method: Peel and cut potato into small pieces and boil in a pot with some salt and olive oil on high heat for approximately 15 minutes. When cooked strain water, add butter, milk,salt and parsley and mash until creamy! For the red wine jus add all ingredients to a saucepan and let reduce. When reduced add more water and repeat this process until you feel its at a good consistency and tastes yummy! If too rich add some more water. Place pieces of broccoli in a pot and boil for around 5 min. Try not to overcook, broccoli is sooooo much nicer a little bit crunchy. After slicing steak coat each side with salt and pepper. Sear each steak side in a hour pan with some olive oil then cook for approx 3 minutes on each side until medium rare. Pile up potato mash, add steak to side and the broc and pour over red wine jus!
