I’d like to introduce you all to my friend, Chuck Braden. Chuck was a true American original. Some random things about Chuck: A Veteran - 4 yr Marine in ‘Nam and 15 yrs in the Army National Guard years later. Animal lover. Helicopters. Nebraska. Baxter Black. A voracious reader. Chain smoker. A wonderful guy with enough eccentricities to fill a small truck – that’s probably why we got along so well. Chuck’s friends and family said goodbye to Chuck today in a service honoring his life. I was proud to be able to attend. I was proud that Chuck thought of me as a friend. Whenever (and I mean EVERY time in 14+ years) we ran into each other at City Hall, Chuck would stop me and ask how I was. After chatting a few minutes, I’d excuse myself and head back to work. He’d always say as I was walking away “Always good to see you, Rich. Thanks for stopping by.” It was always good to see you, too, Chuck. R.I.P. old friend. https://youtube/watch?v=wcncgf_sGzQ
