I’m Pat Buchanan, these are the week’s biggest hits from 20 to #1 and we’re counting ‘em down. The eighteenth most popular song in the country this week belongs to Meghan Trainor, an artist who was once in a band, with her family. The group consisted of her parents, uncle, aunt and her little brother. Together they performed at local bars and would play Soca-inspired music since her uncle is from Trinidad and Meghan loved the sound. In addition to singing with her family’s band, this talented young woman also played several of the instruments as well, including: the guitar, keyboards, trumpet, ukulele, and percussion. These days at the age of 20, Meghan has left her family group behind. She’s gone solo and has become one of the hottest newcomers of the year, a newcomer who places two song’s on this week’s countdown. The first of those two hits holds at #18 this week.
