I’m writing to ask for your help with an emergency flood relief campaign for my friends in the Yawanawa community of Brazil. I’ve had the inspiring opportunity to visit the community three times and to work with Chief Tashka Peshaho Yawanawa and Laura Yawanawa on many projects over the last 14 years. This little community in the Amazon has been a powerful force for protecting rainforest and indigenous peoples rights in Brazil and beyond. Now they need help from the global community to get back on their feet after a devastating flood unlike anything they’ve ever seen (video at the link below). Lots of little actions will make a big difference so please take a few minutes and support to the relief effort.
