I’ve been following the debate over the Superstar’s National - TopicsExpress

I’ve been following the debate over the Superstar’s National Artist controversy these past few days, but I can’t seem to frame my own stance. I’ve always been a fan of Nora’s works, but never of her moral character and life choices post-career peak. What is this REALLY about? Are there any underlying political motives/grudges that aren’t exposed by media, or is this purely because of her drug and tax evasion suits? What is a National Artist supposed to embody in the first place, and why is it wrong to include their moral character as part of the standards for selection? Artists/actors/fans/friends I feel so strongly (confused) about this and I dont even know if Im asking the right questions, so please tell me what you think!!
