I’ve never been in love, but I imagine it feels like you’re standing on the edge of a cliff and you’ve just watched all of your friends jump; you know that you’re next but you’ve heard stories of people who jumped and had been hurt. You’re excited to jump but you’re also a little nervous because you have no idea what the outcome will be; will you end up getting hurt or will you end up the happiest you’ve ever been? Or will you end up both? Because sometimes, even though you’ve just been through all of this pain, you cant help but look back on the experience and smile. You smile because you’ve grown as a person, no matter the outcome. As you take a step closer to the edge you feel a rush of adrenaline because you’ve never been in this position before; or maybe because you have and you’re excited to feel it again. In either case, now is the time to decide whether you’re going to jump or whether you’re going to walk away from the ledge. If you walk away you might never have the chance to jump again, but if you do jump there’s the risk of getting hurt. To me the risks seem as bad as one another, but as someone who has never been in love, I’d jump anytime I was given the chance.
