J.o. Menindez I had to share your post! By appealing to the pride of life, Satan intends to steer us away from the worship of God and destroy our obedience to God. Whenever you feel you dont need Gods help or direction, that you can handle your life without consulting Him, that you dont need to bow the knee to anyone, beware: Thats the pride of life. You may think you are serving yourself, but whenever you stop worshipping and serving God you are in reality worshipping and serving Satan--which is what he wants more than anything else.
