J.r. Cottingham What a blithering idiot. Freedom of speech is guaranteed to EVERY American citizen by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. It has never been considered a privilege, it has ALWAYS been a right. Its the first Amendment in the Bill of Rights, which are the first ten Amendments to the Constitution.To infer that freedom of speech is a privilege is to infer that it could be denied to some citizens and reserved for the privileged class, which is an attack on the equality of citizenship. If Senator Feinstein believes freedom of speech is a privilege, she must believe that such a privilege could be taken away... an action that could then be extrapolated to other guaranteed rights. And, education level has nothing to do with freedom. This woman is clearly too stupid to read and understand the Constitution of the United States. As such, she is unqualified to serve in the U. S. Senate. Every American citizen should know and understand that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and must be followed and enforced.
