JASPER — A Jasper woman airlifted with head trauma after a scooter crash Thursday afternoon along Division Road died over the weekend. Patricia A. Ahrens, 55, of 5127 W. Division Road, was pronounced dead at 4:55 p.m. CDT Sunday in the intensive care unit of St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, according to the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office. Ahrens was westbound on Division Road on a 1994 Yamaha scooter at the time of the 3:55 p.m. accident Thursday, according to the Jasper Police Department. Ahrens apparently lost control of the scooter after traveling off the north side of the road. The scooter continued west on the shoulder until it struck a road sign and Ahrens was ejected, according to police.
