JD (U) rebels demand election of CM, to seek Rajnath intervention Mahua MLA Ravindra Rai, one of the four JD (U) MLAs against whom partys chief whip Shrawan Kumar has sought action for anti-party activities, said he had not received any show-cause notice or suspension notice so far. It has appeared in the media only, he said. Rai said Delhi-based legal experts told him voting against the party candidate in Rajya Sabha bypolls would not invite any legal action. On the recommendation of an MLC (read Nitish), Manjhi was appointed CM. None of the elected legislators were consulted. The MLC was not authorized by the legislators to nominate their leader, Rai said.
