JIBE ON MY STATE,A WAKE UP CALL. Now I know how they Ekitians felt when the public came up with the newest terminology in political Arena STOMACH INFRASTRUCTURE and use such to described their decision in June 21 Guber election.some insults are are indeed swallowable but I stumble on one that is too bitter for me and I believe no true kwaran would be happy about it. Being a Saturday morning without those hurry hurry things you know now, I took the time to check my Facebook so as to send some birthday wishes and reply some messages. I noticed I have some tag notifications but the one with Ekiti logo caught my attention most. You wish to know why? I wont tell you. It was written by one Abdul Ganiyu and I was tagged in it by Otunba Adeleye Akintola. Ekiti-A Paradise Between Two Hells is the title. Being an account of the writers observations on his trip from Abuja to kwara. Guess one need not to be a geographer to know the two hells the writer is talking about. Neither do you need to be a art scholar to make meaning out of that title. I sit right to read the epistle. Having programmed my mind with two variables to represent the hells , I stumble on a phrase that described the said hells to be stone aged. Really dont waste much time in pondering on that because the artful presentation of Ekiti and its environs in term of growth and development by the writer has transported my mind to the scene being a territory that I know very well. He wrote so many things but let me quote him in just a paragraph Ekiti state is right in the middle of two dead states of kogi and Kwara. One thing I have learnt during this journey is that those who achieved do not make noise as only an empty barrel make the most noise. You hardly see bill board of fayemi on any project apart from campaign bill boards; However as soon as you step into dead state like kwara you see barrages of bill board of Bukola Saraki and his governor everywhere claiming invincible achievement.... That the writer wrote in praising JKF the rejected in Ekiti with a message satirising the government kwara have in place. I went through the whole piece over and over, but no part of this articule failed to have impact on me. I wanted to prove the writer wrong in some aspect just to defend my state but this can only be done if I based my arguments on falsehood. Kwara is truly stone aged in every sector, even our political ideology is stone aged. Our way of doing things is stone aged. Can you imagine at 47 some local government can not boast of a km of good road.I was well over thirty years of age before entering my town on a well celebrated surface dressing. My last post was greeted with criticism from different angles. Some gave different meaning to my intended message why some take my side believing am in support of their pay master. I advocate for Megidas return,Yes I did but on condition; provided his Boss pick another candidate. Just like Lawal part way with Saraki the father in 2003. Nothing is central other than Ilorin. Just Four local governments controlling seven from south and five from the north. Enough is enough. Megida would be better off in Zero party. Freedom group is central bound again. Central has ruled for twelve uninterrupted years in which they have during this years developed their region and planted their people in high places. Let the south also rule even for at least next five years so as to put our region on track for development too. With the look of things Ahmed is the gate way out of Saraki dictatorship. Bukola wont allow Megidas second term ambition to fly. And every reasonable individual especially those very close to him should advised this Share born lad to be a man and Savage the situation for kwarans. Kwara is presently one of the worst state in nigeria. Should in case you wish to read the said article check my wall.
