JOB POSTING FOR THE MODESTO BEE The Modesto Bee is looking for a talented photojournalist for its newsroom. Below are details about how to apply for the position. -- MULTIMEDIA PHOTOJOURNALIST The Modesto Bee, located in the San Joaquin Valley and within a few hours of Yosemite, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and Monterey is seeking a general assignment multimedia photojournalist to work full-time. Days and hours will vary. Must be a creative, energetic and imaginative photographer who can cover news, sports and feature events. We are looking for a self-starter who is excited about enterprising and developing original story ideas. Photographer must be proficient with digital photography, proficient shooting and editing video for the web and possess social media skills. Must be able to collaborate with other journalists to achieve a complete and accurate portrayal of stories as well as the ability to communicate with editors. Must possess ability to provide accurate caption information that follows AP style and procedures. College level photojournalism experience required and previous experience working on a daily is preferred. Must possess a valid CA drivers’ license, a clean driving record (a DMV printout will be required if interviewed). Must provide own transportation and furnish proof of insurance.
