Skilled Cake Decorator at the Grapevine location: Provides superior customer service. Assembles - frosts and decorates cakes and pastries with designs. Maintains an adequate amount of fresh merchandise on hand at all times. Must communicate well with customers in order to understand and prepare a great quality product that meets the customers expectations. Follows company standards regarding merchandise presentation - safety - sanitation - service and suggestive selling. 2. Floating Produce Manager to work in District 4, DFW area: To supervise and coordinate activities of workers of the Produce Department. Ensure the production of quality merchandise and service consistent with Randalls / Tom Thumb standards. Ability to answer questions as they occur for both customers and employees. Schedule - supervise - train - and assign duties to department employees. Plan daily operation - monitor production process following company procedures and profitability guidelines. Prepare sales and inventory reports. Investigate and resolve merchandise quality and service complaints. Specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees. Know opening and closing department procedures. Train employees in store policies - sales and record keeping procedures. Assist salad bar and produce clerks in completing their tasks. Know produce items - how to select - cook - prepare - trim - wrap - and display them. Monitor employees productivity and evaluate their overall performance. Initiate personnel actions such as pre-employment interviews - transfers - promotions - and disciplinary actions. Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Randalls / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in general produce or as Produce Manager. Successful completion of Randalls / Tom Thumb Management Training Program. Working in varied temperatures. Will work with water constantly. Independent mobility within the department. Standing and walking for 8 to 10 hours. Manuel dexterity sufficient to handle boxes and supplies. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers. Visual acuity sufficient to read product labels - coupons - and prices. Strength to lift - push - or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional crouching and stooping to reach low storage areas and display cases. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Professional appearance and above average communication skills. Perform other duties as required. 3. Floating File Maintenance Manager, to work in District 4, DFW area: Provide friendly superior customer service and assistance. Maintains scan/tag accuracy of all shelf items in Grocery - GM/HBC - Beer/Wine - Produce - and Meat departments. Ensure price integrity throughout the store. Verifies all tags and signs. Every questionable item must be researched and corrected. Hang all signs for advertised specials. Catalog new item tags until product reaches the store. Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Randalls / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook and Orientation Handbook. Knowledge of proper stocking procedures and store layout. Successful completion of the new store employee orientation program. 1 year(s) of experience in retail pricing or Randalls / Tom Thumb Front-end experience. Standing for extended periods of time. Working in a busy environment. Independent mobility within the store. Standing for six to eight hours. Occasionally stooping and crouching to reach merchandise in display and/or stock area. Manual dexterity to handle merchandise. Finger dexterity to handle papers - register keyboard and monies. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers. Vision sufficient to select/stock merchandise and read labels. Strength to lift - push - or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to reach shelves as high as 5 feet and as low as 6 inches. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Experience in related jobs helpful. Neat appearance and good communication skills. Help coworkers as needed. Perform other duties as required. 4. Floating Food Service Manager, to work in District 4, DFW area: To supervise and coordinate activities of workers of the Hot Deli Department. Ensure the production of quality merchandise and service consistent with Randalls / Tom Thumb standards. Ability to answer questions as they occur for both customers and employees.Schedule - supervise - train - and assign duties to department employees. Plan daily operation - monitor production process following company procedures and profitability guidelines. Prepare sales and inventory reports. Specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees. Know opening and closing department procedures. Train employees in store policies - sales and record keeping procedures. Assist sale - food preparation - and other hot deli personnel in completing their tasks. Monitor employees productivity and evaluate their overall performance. Confer with cook and other food preparation personnel. Plan menu and food service operation. Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Randalls / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in general food service duties or as a Food Service Manager. Successful completion of Randalls / Tom Thumb Management Training Program. Working in varied temperatures. Independent mobility within the department. Standing and walking for 8 to 10 hours. Manuel dexterity sufficient to handle boxes and supplies. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers. Visual acuity sufficient to read product labels - coupons - and prices. Strength to lift - push - or pull objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Occasional crouching and stooping to reach low storage areas and display cases. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Professional appearance and above average communication skills. Perform other duties as required.
