JOBS in GOLDEN LAND Finance Manager (Yangon) PURPOSE The overall goal of KWEG’s Finance Department is to provide high quality financial management and strengthen KWEG’s financial systems, policies and procedures. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to manage our Finance Department. The Finance Manager will be overall responsible for the Finance Department and works closely together with the staff to ensure that financial information is accurate and up-to-date. The Finance Department currently consists of an accountant, bookkeeper and finance volunteer. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide leadership to and manage the Finance Department. • Develop a long-term funding strategy and prepare a cash flow forecast for 2 years. • Ensure that KWEG’s financial systems, policies and forms are developed and maintained and that procedures are followed by all staff. • Prepare and carry out trainings and briefings to all staff in agreed policies, procedures and forms. • Assist Operation Manager and Project Coordinators in the development of new projects including writing project proposals and preparing project budgets. • Oversee and supervise: maintenance of cash books, preparation of monthly budget monitoring sheets, preparation of (yearly) financial statements, allocation of overhead expenses and monthly cash count. • Prepare high quality and timely financial reports and respond to any other financial queries. • Be the main point of contact for donors regarding finance, monitor donor contracts and timely submit donor specific financial reports which have been prepared by Accountant. • Accommodate internal and external audit visits. PERSON SPECIFICATION • Master degree or equivalent in Financial Management, Finance or Accountancy or a related field • Minimum of 5 years experience in a financial management position • Experience in working in the NGO sector • Advanced knowledge of financial systems, policies and procedures • Ability to lead and manage a (small) team • Fluency in written and spoken Burmese and English language, and preferably Karen language • Transparent, accountable and deadline-oriented Click the following link for detailed information>>> bit.ly/1xkDGAY
