JOURNAL - Day 2 - 7th July The hostel is actually better than i expected. The beds look decent and the market streets are literally outside. The bathroom is about youth hostel standards though, better than a bush! Ive decided that accounting is stressful but im pulling through and were saving a lot of budget money. It is so humid and just permanently sticky in Nepal. We explored the market which was incredibly busy. There are no pathways so everyone just walks on the roads with the impatient honking cars and beeping bikes. It gets so crowded that cars and bikes and mo-peds are squished together on the road. The culture here is spectacular or the tourist side is at least. My goal is to get myself a sari because i think they are beautiful. The curry i had for dinner at the hostel was fantastic and is probably now my favourite... it was chicken akar-something, it had pomegranite in it and looked like porridge. Im having that feeling of wanting to go home, but at the same time i want to stay. I havent been burnt yet, but my arm went red in the sudden shock of the scorching heat of the sun. Tomorrow we are starting the school project, i look forward to it :3 Hopefully we will get to roam Kathmandu more before we leave.
