JOURNEY TO DESTINY-1 (NO COMPARISON)! Walking into a petrol station, you met a man complaining and shouting; then in your inquisitive state, you walked up to him and asked why? Comparing himself with another man, he said: I brought my car here to buy fuel and have been filling its tank since but isnt yet full; but a man with a motorbike who got here after me, has filled his, and gone! So why am I still here, isnt it the same fuel? This is taking too long, I cant wait any longer, Id rather go like that...! IMAGINE??? What will be your response on hearing this? Its either you just shake your head in pity for the man and wonder why a man with a car will be comparing himself with a motorbike, knowing fully well that the cars fuel tank is bigger than the fuel tank of a motorbike! Moreso, the car has more advantages, can cover longer distances, more convenient than a motor bike! So why the comparison? Is such a man wise? In the journey to destiny; no comparison! No competition! Why??? Different destinies! Different routes to the destination!!! Because someone has gone a step ahead of you doesnt mean he/she will be greater or he/she will get to the destination before you! Your own path might even seem so rough than your friends path; but never compare, its for the greater glory! On this journey to destiny, you need to know the ONE thing (purpose in life) you MUST do and cant afford to miss! God has different syllabus/curriculum for each of us; and your syllabus is dependent on the kind of certificate you will achieve! Strict adherence to the syllabus will enable you graduate into the school of destiny& get the certificate of fulfilment at the end of the race! Avoid being distracted! My dear brothers/sisters, are you also in the habit of comparing yourself with others? Are you almost giving up on your dreams? Or bothered about the finance or resources to bring these big dreams to reality? Why not lay all these worries at JESUS feet? May I tell you that the ONLY important connection you need is with God! Are you in constant relationship with Him in holiness and righteousness? Do you have faith in Him? If your answers are YES, then you need not worry! He that brought out water from the rock, turned water to wine, made a passage between the Red sea for the children of Israel to walk through; cant He also mysteriously make a way for you to your place of destiny? YES, HE CAN!!! Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an EXPECTED END. As you go this week, NEVER COMPARE yourself with anyone! Dont feel inferior nor superior to anyone! Know that youve got different races to run. Focus on the path God has set for you. With determination and diligence, run that race! All you need to overcome on your journey to destiny has been provided by God; HIS grace is also sufficient! Always remember that you are distinct and unique in Gods own way! You are loved by the Creator of ALL things! Believe in God, believe in yourself! Develop the I CAN attitude!
