JTS. Never A Dull Day Dec 25 2014 San Antiono Palopo, Lake Atitlan. Guatemala Coincidentally three days prior to our todays arrival at Lake Atitlan, I read an article that Lake Atitlan is among 1/26 not to be miss destination in the Americas For our Lake Atitlan visit we had decided to stay at the town of San Antiono Palopo which is a small quiet community and away from the tourist spots. The plan is either to ride our bike or take the ferry to visit other parts of the lake From Antigua we took the Pan American Highway which was a smooth 90km ride on a dual carriage highway to Panajachel and another 12 km on a scenic narrow single lane road that hug the lake all the way to San Antonio Polapo. Arriving at San Antiono Palopo in the late afternoon, we were immediately treated to a magnificent sunset over the lake. The picturesque lake certainly deserve not to be miss when in Guatemala A beautiful end to Xmas day
