JUNE 6, 2013 -- TRUSTING JESUS Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. ------------------ Jesus endured the shame of the cross. The process of hanging someone on a cross was the punishment for the worst criminals. He endured the pain of being mocked, scorned, beaten all before going to Mt. Calvary. Then he suffered beyond description, all for our sins. It is safe to say that our Jesus understands pain. He knows what it is liked to be betrayed by a friend. He knows what it is like to lose those he loves to death. He understands physical and emotional pain like no other. So it is safe to say we can trust him with our pain. He knows what to do with it to bring us comfort. Just like Jesus had to endure certain things. We often have to endure situations. But we can be assured that he will not allow more than we can handle. Even if we feel like we are about to break. We do not see what he is holding off of us. We are never, never, never alone in our sufferings.
