JUNIOR GAME REVIEW - Under 10 Blue Round 8 saw us playing on Friday night under lights against Hillside. A slight warm up mishap and we were 2 players down before the 1st bounce. We needed to restructure the line-up and that caused some players confusion as they had planned to play in their original position from Thursday nights training session. The boys began positively kicking the first goal of the game winning the clearances and the back line staying solid. Going into 1/4 time a goal in front and things were looking good. As the game went on there were little signs of lack of commitment and discipline creeping in. There was no manning up. There was no spread and there was no teamwork. Everything that was worked on and on show previous weeks was non existent. Hillside began to get on top. They were more hungry and were working for each other. There ball movement was second to none. The pressure on our boys was excellent and we couldnt get our running game going at all. In the end they were just too strong. To all my boys, rest enjoy your week off and come back refreshed ready for a big second half to the season and dont forget your homework. Also thank you to all the Bears coaches, staff, players and supporters who turned up supported us during the game. Sorry we couldnt come away with the win. Final Score: Burnside Heights: 1.1.7 Hillside: 3.1.19 Goal kicker: Marco Best: Cody, Marco, Dylan Bartos, Adel, Hunter and Aiden. Anthony Strangio
