JUST A THOUGHT: I once watched a classical Korean dance concert at a theater in QC. I loved the careful execution of the obviously very experienced dancers. Each intricate movement revealed years or even decades of practice. The audience, however, wasnt very appreciative that after 3 numbers, there were only 4 or 5 of us left. Dancers who do acrobatics receive more appreciation than these dedicated classical dancers. In the choral world, I observed that only the true-blue choral enthusiasts appreciate blending, clean harmonies, well executed lines and themes, the pianissimos, and all the intricacies of choral music. You have to shout as loudly as you can and reach the highest of notes just to make and impression.
