JUST SHARING: I have been somewhat quiet and listening over the last few days and just allowing God to show me some things concerning myself as well as how to submit those areas of lack for transformation into His image and likeness. I have absolutely NEVER been one to claim that I was without flaw or have reached perfection. As a matter of fact, there is not much that one can reveal to me about my flaws that I dont ALREADY know and am allowing GOD to deal. Nevertheless, I absolutely refuse to knowingly function in hypocrisy! I keep MYSELF on the altar just as much as I try to encourage everyone else to go! However, not that I have already attained or am already perfected, but I press on! As I have meditated over these last few days, the Lord began to reveal to me how people continually come into the body of Christ but stop progressing after they get in. In other words, some people got saved but they never continue on to become TRANSFORMED. I observe peoples ways, attitudes, mannerisms, criticisms and movements and while they may have Gods WORD, they do not have His WAYS. This goes against the very purpose of the word (which holds transforming power.) Lack of change renders the word null and void in our lives. I have never seen so many CHRISTIANS who are able to discern the error in other peoples lives or talk about what God told them or showed them about someone else but yet blatantly neglect THEIR OWN shortcomings. Hypocrisy is in the land like never before! We need to understand that just because our attitudes and ways worked for us in the world or in past years, that does not automatically signify that THOSE SAME attitudes and ways should be used in the church, in the body of Christ and in the Kingdom of God. Transformation MUST take place IN US if we are to become the expressed image of GOD in the earth. I thank GOD daily that I am not caught up in a realm of delusion and telling myself that God is pleased with ALL of my thoughts and ways when I know He is not! There is ALWAYS room for change. While I know, WITHOUT A DOUBT, that God loves me as I am, He does not expect me to REMAIN as I am! We must strive for perfection (maturation.) We can not continue to expect OR demand change in others if WE are not striving to allow the word of God to CHANGE US first! At the end of the day, we MUST become the very CHANGE that we desire to see in others. Anything less is hypocritical. Grace and peace. +ABW
