JUST TO RECAP ON WHAT MALAMULELE NEEDS TO DO TO GET THULAMELA UNDER MALAMULELEs CONTROL: Dear Member, we have over the past few weeks updated you on the progressive work done towards the development and improvement of an organization that is meant to liberate Malamulele from deliberate marginalization by the ruling party and those amongst us who have sold the soul of out town and its people. I want to take this opportunity and explain our strategic approach to gaining self rule and governance. 1. Thulamela Local Municipality has 80 Council Seats.....40 of which are PR and the other 40 is made up of individuals who win Wards. In order to control Thulamela.....We need to get 41 Council seats or more. 2. Thulamela has about 600 000 people as per Stats 2011.......The Municipality has 40 Wards and more than half of those are around Malamulele. The population of Malamulele areas is also higher than that of other areas in Thulamela. Of the 600 000 ppl.....only around 250 000 are registered voters.....The voter turn out in the past years us 50%.....which means that we need around 150 000 votes to take over Thulamela. 3. If all the people in Malamulele vote for the MCA.....We gain control of the local council and implement some of the following strategic pillars.....* move the Municipaliy offices to Malamulele....* rename the local council to Malamulele.....*build a Malamulele Mall by 2017......* build a Malamulele library and revive Shingwezi College of Education.....*redirect water from Nandoni to Malamulele area....5. Finally, the fight for local Municipaliy by the Task Team has dismally failed.....The Dermarcation Board has refused and only MCA will make them listen. It is the responsibility of all of us to correct the mistakes of the past and put Malamulele where she belongs.....Khindlimukaaa a! !! Written by our Secretary General comrade Ndhuma Makamu
