#JUSTATHOUGHT: INFERIORITY COMPLEX By Barkachai Keitany What is this thing in reality? I asked my friend and he told me it is a feeling of being of a lower class to others stems from multiple factors that gradually buildthemselves into a persons whole character. The results of verbal, physical and emotional abuse can havelong-lasting psychological damaging effects to a person, making thembelieve they are less deserving of acceptance byothers.... So I became more confused and had to dwell more on this subject. Many are the times you have heard the question who is your role model? You may have an answer or not but for me I have several depending with the audience expected... I even have one Chief as my role model. However I pick the best from him and not all what he does...You can never live same life as your role models and thank God they are far and you just use them as references... Now, Inferiority Complex sets in when someone who is a bit higher or advanced than the others tries to paint them as losers... That time when one tries to always associate himself with the Who is Who in the society leaving behind the foundation... Remember the people who have seen you grow from the small boy without Suruali to where you are now are the best colleagues to live with... Role models give you a guidance and act as spirit level but the old man without any Mzungu Education back there is the best teacher with experience... I write this with lots of pain because someone rises from down and as soon as they are about to reach somewhere they start bragging and abuse those whom they were with.... Okay, In life I think it reaches a time when Educational background is put aside and social life takes centre stage.... That is my take and love it or hate it we are going through this over and over....
