Jamaaat-ut-Tableegh Corrupt The Ummah More Than They Rectify. The Noble Muhaddith and Shaykh Hammaad al-Ansaaree (d. 1418) Speaking about Jamaaat ut-Tableegh, the Shaykh, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: I once entered into Masjid an-Nabawee and saw a large jamaaah beneath the large clock, so I asked one of them: Who are those?? So he said: They are Jamaaat ut-Tableegh. So I said: What do they convey?? So he said: They convey dawah in this Arab land. So I said to him: Did they convey [dawah] to the Sikhs and Buddhists (i.e. before coming to this land to perform dawah)?? Then I said: Indeed, that jamaaat does not desire knowledge, nor do they seek it. So with this path [of dawah], they corrupt more than they rectify. And Jamaaat ut-Tableegh, I know them well. In aqeedah, they are Maatureediyyah, Jishtiyyah, and in their madhhab, bigoted Hanafees. And once, I had a lecture in a masjid in the outskirts of al-Madeenah il-Munawwarrah, so when I began to conduct the lecture there was in the masjid a jamaaah from the Tableegh, they all went out [of the masjid] at the beginning of the lecture.
