James 2:14-17 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. The Duggars have been visiting El Salvador since Josh was young. What good works have they done? Have they helped the poor put in wood flooring, dug wells, put in plumbing for running water? Have they supplied tools and seeds for gardens and animals for food. Have they arranged for better local transportation for the poor. You know the poor that these missionaries love to brag about how they walk miles to churches while facing the dangers of rocky terrain, snakes, weather, and gangs? Have they provided solar or wind power for the poor so they can have electricity, refrigeration, heat and air, stoves, etc.? Have they built orphanages and shelters for the needy? I dont think so. What good works have they done for the poor after all these years? Someone please enlighten me. Giving cheap gifts after being forced to watch a religious skit in English is not the good works Jesus talks about.
