James Rockhill and I are trying to find the source of a description about Lovecrafts prose: overdescription of the almost seen. Jim recalls that Darrell Schweitzer once attributed this comment to Damon Knight, and its witty and perceptive enough to sound like Mr. Knight. But its not from his excellent book of reviews, IN SEARCH OF WONDER. Could anyone provide the source? (And no, it wasnt from Avram Davidsons review of THE SURVIVOR AND OTHERS).
