Jammu and Kashmir Teachers forum has threatened to Boycott Election Duties: The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) has threatened to lockdown the schools throughout the state on November 21 and 22 if government failed to release the salaries of the teachers till November 20. Chairman JKTF Abdul Qayoom Wani said around 30,000 teachers recruited by the state government under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) have not received their salaries for past six months.“Their kids have been expelled from the schools. Government is unnecessarily causing inconvenience and creating serious problems for the teacher community,” Wani said. He said they have given three days deadline to the government to resolve their issues of face consequences.“We will lock the schools on 21 and 22 November and teacher community will also boycott the election duties,” he added.
