January 2014 1st. Its the first day of the New Year. I am thankful that I have survived another one. I am also thankful for Mommy and Ricky. They both took me out to lunch today. 2nd. I said goodbye to TJ McKeon today. I am going to miss him so much! I am thankful for all the soldiers who fight for me, so I dont have to. 3rd. I am off to San Diego today. While waiting, mommy flicked my head. I am so thankful for her, and getting to San Diego safe. 4th. Today Katie Murphy, Mayra Rodriguez, and I went all around LA. It was so much fun, but very tiring! I am thankful for this fun day full of adventures and good friends. 5th. Katie and I hiked to the Hollywood sign today. I had my first California burrito today. We also went to Venice Beach, there were many homeless people. I am thankful that I dont have to sleep without a home and for shoes without holes. 6th. I met Adam Connor, Minerva Connor, and the boys tonight. I am so thankful that every time I come back they remember me. I love them so much! 7th. Today Katie and I went to The Hotel Del Coronado. We just layed by the beach almost all day. I am thankful that I can put away all thats going on at home and be captured by the beauty of the Coronado beach. 8th. We went to Mission Beach today and watched the sunset while listening to One Direction. I am thankful for a day full of fun people I am just now getting to know. 9th. I went cliff diving today, it was so much fun!! I am thankful that I can be adventurous, even when I am completely terrified! 10th. I went to Auntie Guadalupe Connors house to have dinner with the whole family. While we were waiting, Isabelle and I ate Mandarins off her Auntie Lupes tree. I am thankful for Isabelle and her funny personality. 11th. I am not ready to go home! Before I got on the plane, Katie and I went to Seaport Village, ate cookie butter, listened to one direction, and then watched the sun set. Even though theyre not the best, I am thankful for one direction. They always lift my spirit. 12th. After church, Grandma and I went out to eat at Kalico. I payed for her lunch. She didnt quit saying thank you all day long. I am so thankful for her. 13th. It was my first day back to work in 2 weeks. I really missed it. I am thankful for my job and my bosses at it. 14th. I went to the gym today, I really missed it. I am thankful for a place like this where I can just put away all my thoughts and run! 15th. I am really sick today. I dont feel good at all. My fever is high and I have a bad cough. I am thankful that I am normally a lot healthier than this! 16th. I feel okay today. I watched a lot of Full House and mommy took care of me. I am so thankful for this TV show. It always makes my day. 17th. Heather Semb came over today. We didnt do much, we just basically sat and talked. She was supposed to move to Missouri, but she didnt! I am so thankful for her. 18th. Today I ran 15 miles. Im so thankful that I have legs, THAT WORK! 19th. Grandma and I had lunch at Kalico again. I am so thankful for all the nice people there who treat my grandma so good. 20th. I worked again today. Calvin and Paul came in, two of my favorite customers. They ate theyre food and then all three of us talked for about two hours. I am thankful for them, and all the nice people I have met at Sonny Day. 21st. I thought Butte started today, but it didnt. Thank goodness! I am thankful that I have an extra day to mentally prepare myself for the semester. 22nd. I got an E-mail from LaShawn Bockus Montoya today, talking about one of the kids from the Sunday school class Marisa Sandquist and I teach. This Sundays lesson was very short, but she remembered the point. I am so thankful for this little girl and the E-Mail that was sent. It made my week! 23rd. I went to the high school to see Mrs. Yolanda Najera today. I really missed her. I am so thankful for what a great teacher she is, but most of all what a great role model she is to me. 24th. Went out to lunch with Sydney Fortson today. She is one of my very best friends. I love her so much, and I am very thankful for her. 25th. Colleen Connor, Cheryl Braswell, and I did the frost or fog today. It was so much fun. I got fourth in my division. Mom did good, I am so proud of her. I am thankful that she is getting healthy! 26th. My friend Kayla Marter took pictures of Shannon and I. It is the first time weve got them done. I am thankful for how beautiful they turned out! 27th. I went walking with Robin Porter today and then I cam back to eat my lunch with her. Today wasnt a very good day, but I am thankful for her and her positive thoughts and advice. I really love her. 28th. Tonight was my first night of Awakening U. It was a lot of fun, and I had a great time getting to know the people in my small group. I am so thankful for them! 29th. Today I got hired at PeeWee Preschool! I am so excited, I am thankful for a new job working with kids. I love waitressing, but I dont think its my thing. 30th. I went to one of my childhood development classes about an hour ago. It was a lot of fun. I am thankful for easy classes like this one, that take my mind off the harder ones! 31st. It is Liz Hosticks birthday today. She is also MY BEST FRIEND! I am SO thankful for her. Today I went to Marinello to eat cake with her and the people she goes to school with. Month One Of My New Years Resolution... Check! Only eleven months more of thankfulness, but hopefully not. Today I am THANKFUL!
